Healing Racial Trauma
LETTER BY BRIAN MORYKON
“Every tongue, tribe and nation will be together in heaven,” says Sheila Wise Rowe. “We have an opportunity to figure out how to do that now.”
Rowe, author of the book Healing Racial Trauma, talked this week with Nathan Foster on the Renovaré Podcast. As a spiritual director, educator, and counselor who has worked around the world with trauma and abuse survivors, she brings a unique Christian perspective to the current conversation on racial justice.
“This is a moment for the Big C church to step up,” she tells Nathan. “There is a whole part of the body that is hurting… What is Jesus calling us to do in this moment?”
It’s a needed word for all of us, especially leaders. I encourage you to listen to her conversation and read her article featured this week on our website.
