Richard J. Foster is founder, past president and current team member of Renovaré. Having studied at George Fox and Fuller Theological Seminary, Foster has served as a pastor and taught worldwide on spiritual formation. Author of dozens of articles and six books, including Celebration of Discipline, Richard continues to write on the spiritual life. He and his wife, Carolynn, have two grown children, Joel and Nathan, nine grandchildren, and live near Denver, Colorado.
A teacher, writer, editor, church leader, and blogger, Richella’s online home is richellajparham.com (she also blogs at ImpartingGrace.com); her physical home is Durham, North Carolina, where she lives with her husband and three sons. Richella is the author of the Renovaré resource A Spiritual Formation Primer, and Mythical Me, published by IVP.
James Catford is Chair of Renovaré and a longstanding member of our Ministry Team. During a career in commercial publishing James worked with many of the authors most closely associated with Renovaré and he now chairs SPCK, the largest Christian publisher in the UK. After fourteen years leading the British Bible Society James also works with American Bible Society to support Christians in leadership around the world. He live with his wife Sue in London.

Nathan Foster is Director of Community Life at Renovaré. Formerly, he served as the Andrews Chair in Spiritual Formation at Spring Arbor University and the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at a Free Methodist Church in Jackson, MI. Nathan is a licensed clinical social worker, a certified addictions counselor, and plays bass in the indie rock band Istra Blue. Learn more at nathanfosterprojects.com.
