Jonathan R. Bailey works at the intersection of Christian Spiritual Formation and technology. His day job is at Dwell, an app he co-founded to help people reclaim the ancient practice of listening to Scripture. He also serves on the Board and Ministry Team of Renovaré.
He’s an advocate of a Christian spirituality that is rooted in tradition but also practical for people living in the modern world.
Jonathan’s writing explores the transformational path of the Threefold Way—purgation, illumination, and union—and how it shapes a deeper, more meaningful life in Christ. He has a forthcoming book with IVP, set to release in Fall 2026, that builds on these themes.
You can find his work at jonathanrbailey.com, where he writes about spiritual formation in the Christian tradition, sharing reflections on the Threefold Way, letters from Christian saints, and timeless wisdom from the Desert Fathers and Mothers.
For updates on his book and other projects, follow him on Substack or Twitter/X.
He lives in Frisco, TX, with his wife Kori, son Gray, and daughters Abigail and Liv.
