A Response to These Days of Uncertainty

LETTER BY BRIAN MORYKON

Renovaré staff met Wednesday over video (as always, we’re a remote team) and discussed the rapidly evolving crisis. One team member reflected on conversations we had a few days prior: How young we were then.”

Things are shifting by the moment and we, like you, are feeling a range of emotions. Thankfully, as the Psalms attest, God is ready to hear our honest prayers. I’m reminded of healing advice from a message given by Trevor Hudson: Pray your pain. Give words to it and bring it to Christ.”

In this unique time of imposed slowing and solitude, there is also a sense of possibility. At Renovaré we are pondering how we can help in this time of social distancing — not only sharing content so individuals can be rooted more deeply in Jesus, but also facilitating remote connection and conversation with one another.

To start, Renovaré President Chris Hall has written a response letter to the current crisis.

He also penned a long-form essay and was interviewed for the Renovaré Podcast, both out this week. They were done before the pandemic was in full swing, but the stories he shares are helpful for this time.

A special audio meditation led by Nathan Foster and created especially for this moment is also now available.

May the peace of Christ guard your heart,

Brian Morykon
