Trevor Hudson has been part of the Methodist movement in Southern Africa for more than 35 years. Serving primarily around Johannesburg, South Africa, he is deeply committed to the work and ministry of the local congregation. Presently he works part-time at the Institute for Creative Conversation of Northfield Methodist Church in Benoni, just outside Johannesburg. A significant part of his weekly work is the giving of the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius.
Besides his local commitments, Trevor travels widely, preaching, teaching, and lecturing in the areas of spiritual formation, spiritual direction, and pastoral therapy. He lectures at Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, in their Doctor of Ministry (Spiritual Direction) program, and he also works closely with the Renovaré International Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation, the Dallas Willard Center for Christian Spiritual Formation, and the Jesuit Institute in South Africa. He is the author of 22 books including Discovering Your Spiritual Identity (IVP) and Beyond Loneliness (Upper Room). His new book, Seeking God-Finding Another Kind of Life with St Ignatius and Dallas Willard will be published by NavPress in October of 2022.
Trevor is married to Debbie, and they are the parents of two adult children, Joni and Mark.
