Lilias Trotter

Isabella Lilias Trotter (1853-1928) had a bright mind and a promising career as an artist, but in 1888 she left behind her art mentor and her wealthy family in London to become a missionary. Lilias and two friends moved to North Africa, studied the Arabic language and lived among the Algerian people, sharing the gospel through words and pictures and a life of loving service.
