On St. Anthony’s feast day, we celebrate the ​“Father of All Monks” with an excerpt from Athanasius’s biography of him. Anthony gives his fellow monks some worthy counsel on the practice of examen — showing them how reflecting on their spiritual lives will both keep them from sin and promote love.
