Eric Peterson used to hide from people who his dad was. Not that he was ashamed — his dad is his hero, as you’ll hear in this interview — but he needed to establish his own voice and identity. Now an author and long-time pastor himself, he’s glad to say, “Eugene Peterson, that’s my dad.”

Eric. E. Peterson is the pastor of Colbert Presbyterian Church in Colbert, WA. He is the author of Wade in the Water: Following the Sacred Stream of Baptism, Letters to a Young Congregation, and Letters to a Young Paster (with Eugene H. Peterson).
Nathan is Director of Community Life at Renovaré. He heads up Fellowship of the Burning Heart and hosts the Renovaré Podcast. Formerly, he was an Associate Professor of social work and served as the Andrews Chair in Spiritual Formation at Spring Arbor University. He was also a licensed clinical social worker and certified addictions counselor. Nathan has published two books, including The Making of an Ordinary Saint: My Journey from Frustration to Joy with the Spiritual Disciplines.
