Attend An Open (online) Listening Group

Fellowship of the Burning Hearts Listening Groups set the table for honest sharing and deep listening to each other and to God.

Drawing inspiration from 12-step meetings, the Quaker discernment process, and Renovaré Spiritual Formation Groups, the 90-minute structure eliminates advice-giving and fixing people.

The best way to learn about Listening Groups to experience one.

That's why we created Online Open Listening Groups.

Attending one or more is a great way to discern if a year-long commitment to a Listening Group is right for you.

And they are a space to stay connected if you are waiting on a group to open.

These groups don’t require the normal one-year commitment or an application, so please join us as your schedule allows. Meetings are free.

We have different days and times to accommodate various schedules, including for our overseas friends.

Currently, open listening groups meet online:
Times listed in Eastern Time Zone

  • 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
  • 2nd Tuesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
  • 3rd Thursday from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
  • 4th Wednesday from 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Groups are led by one of our experienced Coordinators and contain most of the elements you would see in a regular Listening Group.

The format looks like this:

  • A few minutes of casual conversation
  • The Coordinator walks you through the meeting process
  • Sharing time: a safe space to share openly and listen to the Lord

In the 90-minute meeting, only a few people will share. But whether you share or listen, the Spirit will be speaking to everyone.
