About the Role

Founded by Richard J. Foster in 1988, Renovaré (Latin: to renew) advocates, resources, and models fullness of life with God. Its mission is simple: help people become more like Jesus.

As a new and adaptive way of fulfilling this mission, Renovaré is launching the Formational Church Network to support and connect churches that wish to prioritize spiritual formation as the organizing principle of their congregational life. The Network aims to ground, engage, and unite congregations in spiritual renewal—understanding it and experiencing it—so that they can be a radiant embodiment of Jesus Christ in their communities. The Network will make existing Renovaré resources and experiences more accessible to groups and will create additional supports, like the Regional Cohort experience — a one-year program that brings representatives from local churches together for study, prayer, and conversation so they are empowered to spark renewal in their congregations.

Renovaré is seeking someone with vision and enthusiasm to orchestrate the launch and growth of the Formational Church Network and oversee the development of its offerings, including the Regional Cohort experience. The Director will shepherd the growing relationship between participating churches and Renovaré, and help to develop regional “hub cities” where Renovaré can concentrate resources and energy. This person will have a passion for connecting individuals to church homes where they can be formed in community, for connecting churches in supportive partnerships across denominational, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines, and for reconnecting today’s Church with practical means for abiding in and becoming like Jesus.
