Ren­o­varé is look­ing for a full-time Edu­ca­tion Pro­gram Coor­di­na­tor who will work close­ly with the Direc­tor of Edu­ca­tion in the oper­a­tion of the Ren­o­varé Insti­tute and oth­er edu­ca­tion­al initiatives.

Posi­tion Description

At Ren­o­varé, we believe that peo­ple real­ly can expe­ri­ence a deep­er, more trans­for­ma­tive life with God. Our edu­ca­tion­al offer­ings are some of the key ways we help guide peo­ple on that journey.

  • The Ren­o­varé Insti­tute for Chris­t­ian Spir­i­tu­al For­ma­tion helps cohorts of 45 stu­dents go deep­er with God and with each oth­er through an inten­sive, 2‑year hybrid (remote and in-per­son) program.

  • The Ren­o­varé Book Club guides over 2000 peo­ple through four soul-shap­ing, Christ-cen­tered books each year. 

  • We con­tin­u­al­ly explore oth­er ways to engage and train spir­i­tu­al­ly hun­gry peo­ple who seek to become more like Jesus.

As the Edu­ca­tion­al Pro­gram Coor­di­na­tor, you will work with the Direc­tor of Edu­ca­tion to facil­i­tate all aspects of the Ren­o­varé Insti­tute. Addi­tion­al­ly, you’ll help to admin­is­trate the Ren­o­varé Book Club and oth­er ini­tia­tives as needed.

This is a remote (any­where in the U.S.) full-time posi­tion, which includes approx­i­mate­ly 6 weeks of trav­el to var­i­ous U.S. loca­tions per year:

  • Four RI Res­i­den­cy weeks

  • A 3‑day staff retreat

  • A nation­al retreat, con­nect­ed with a min­istry team retreat (7 days)

  • An RI alum­ni retreat week­end every 18 months (34 days)

Posi­tion Goals

  • Sig­nif­i­cant­ly con­tribute to the trans­for­ma­tion­al jour­ney of each Ren­o­varé Insti­tute stu­dent and alum by facil­i­tat­ing the logis­tics required to oper­ate the program.

  • Exe­cute logis­tics on oth­er edu­ca­tion­al ini­tia­tives, includ­ing the Book Club, with a vision in each con­text of set­ting the table” for encounter with God.



Appli­ca­tion and Enrollment

  • Exe­cute enroll­ment and tuition operations

  • Over­see (and often con­duct) admis­sions counseling

  • Work with the Direc­tor Of Edu­ca­tion to draft and imple­ment the oper­at­ing budget

Pro­gram Facilitation

  • Serve as the logis­tics point of con­tact for stu­dents, fac­ul­ty, and alum

  • Pop­u­late and main­tain the online learn­ing platform

  • Send out week­ly updates in tan­dem with the Direc­tor Of Education

  • Meet reg­u­lar­ly with the Direc­tor Of Edu­ca­tion and the Stu­dent Care Coor­di­na­tor to respond to stu­dent needs and to con­tin­ue to refine the program

Res­i­den­cy Support

  • Nego­ti­ate and sched­ule res­i­den­cy weeks at retreat facilities

  • Pre­pare fac­ul­ty con­tracts and sup­port fac­ul­ty travel

  • Pre­pare and ship resources in advance

  • Pro­vide onsite hos­pi­tal­i­ty and logistics

Alum­ni Coordination

  • Send out a reg­u­lar newslet­ter to alum­ni in tan­dem with the Direc­tor of Education

  • Orga­nize and guide alum­ni vol­un­teers on var­i­ous initiatives

  • Coor­di­nate an RI alum retreat every 18 months


  • Work with the Direc­tor of Edu­ca­tion and the Direc­tor of Com­mu­ni­ca­tions to imple­ment the logis­tics for Renovaré’s 2000-mem­ber Book Club

  • Pro­vide oper­a­tional sup­port to oth­er edu­ca­tion­al ini­tia­tives (such as online cours­es or the devel­op­ment of print resources) as needed


  • A desire to see oth­ers grow clos­er to Jesus and become more like Jesus

  • Enthu­si­asm for Renovaré’s spir­i­tu­al for­ma­tion prin­ci­ples and Christ-cen­tered, ecu­meni­cal approach

  • A life of prayer and ongo­ing renewal

  • An under­grad­u­ate degree is pre­ferred. Hav­ing com­plet­ed the Ren­o­varé Insti­tute would be par­tic­u­lar­ly help­ful, but is not required

The Suc­cess­ful Can­di­date Will Have:

  • A strong back­ground in oper­a­tions and administration

  • Excel­lent writ­ing and edit­ing skills

  • A knack for cre­ative prob­lem solv­ing and the agili­ty to adapt on the fly” to new ideas and situations

  • The abil­i­ty to plan and exe­cute events in a rela­tion­al, hos­pitable manner

  • A will­ing­ness to engage with peo­ple from many cul­tur­al and denom­i­na­tion­al backgrounds

  • A proven track record as a self-starter and the abil­i­ty to work dili­gent­ly in a remote environment

  • A high com­fort lev­el and enjoy­ment for using apps and plat­forms — such as Google Work­space, Drop­box, Microsoft Office, Moo­dle, Base­camp, etc. — to com­mu­ni­cate, orga­nize, project man­age, cre­ate sys­tems, and solve problems

  • A friend­ly and col­lab­o­ra­tive approach with both team­mates and the peo­ple we serve

  • The abil­i­ty to recruit and nur­ture small teams of volunteers

  • The capac­i­ty to trav­el and main­tain a some­what phys­i­cal­ly demand­ing sched­ule at events

  • A sense of humor
