We posted last fall about the first residency of our 2016-2018 Boston-based cohort.(Each cohort is “tied” to a different city, although students participate from all over the world.) This past week (March 6-12) we met together in Boston for our second intensive.

It’s hard to capture in language the sense of Christ’s presence and the deep community we enjoy at these gatherings. On Day Three of last week’s residency, one of our teachers, Trevor Hudson, asked the students if they could each find one word that summed up their current state. These are some of the words they shared:

  • Declutter
  • Ready
  • Sponge
  • Hope
  • Comforted
  • Clarifying
  • Reassured
  • Settled
  • Processing
  • Emptying
  • Wrestling
  • Contextualized
  • Affirmed
  • Appreciative
  • Growing
  • Abiding
  • Quickened
  • Relating
  • Enlightened
  • Triage
  • Stirred up
  • Healing
  • Washing
  • Partnering
  • Uncovering
  • Loved

Perhaps the student who best summed up our own experience with this cohort was the one who said Grateful.
