We are excited to announce one of several events in 2018 that will either focus upon or tie into the 40th anniversary of Richard Foster’s modern classic Celebration of Discipline: The Life with God Conference at the Global Leadership Center at Westmont College

Might the Lord be calling you to Santa Barbara, CA next May? You’ll be in good company with a whole roster of fine speakers (many from Renovaré) on Christian Spiritual Formation.

From the Conference website:

This conference is designed to explore the key ideas behind the modern spiritual formation movement. It is for philosophers, applied theologians, teachers, pastors, and all those involved in fanning the flames of authentic Christian transformation. It is a gathering for those who are teaching and leading in colleges, universities and churches and desire to understand and experience these ideas concerning how to live well and how to help others do the same.

  • Philosophy Track: Dallas Willard’s Key Philosophical Concerns and their Implications for the Future of Spiritual Formation.
  • Applied Theology Track: Practical Implications for Experiencing Life with the Trinity
  • Curriculum Emphasis: Spiritual Formation, Academic Curriculum, and Student Development

Now Underway: The 2018-19 Renovaré Book Club

How do we read for transformation, not just information? First, choose books that stir the soul and have an enduring quality. Then read with God and others at an unhurried pace, attentive to what the Holy Spirit wants to teach. The Renovaré Book Club is designed for transformative reading. It runs October 2018—May 2019.
