A Personal Letter From Chris Hall

Dear Friends,

After many months of working from home, I’m grateful to be getting back to things I used to take for granted, most especially being with others in person.

Still, I feel the effects from the long Covid” year. My energy level has decreased. The change is noticeable. I’m simply not able to do what I once could.

Thankfully, when I look at Renovaré, I see a ministry that is healthy financially, relationally, and organizationally, thanks to truckloads of God’s grace. We’re helping people, and that makes me smile.

I now sense the Lord’s permission to move in a new direction in my own life. After 16 years of CEO-type work, my desire is transitioning; I long for more time to write, teach, mentor, and hang out with Deb, the kids and grandkids. I’d like to transition to a slower, less demanding schedule.

The board has been immensely gracious and helpful in working through this with me. As we’ve talked, pondered, and discerned the Lord’s voice about how to facilitate a wise transition, the next steps have come into focus.

My transition from the presidency will occur on February 28, 2022. When the date for the transition was finalized, I sensed within a deep sense of peace, joy, and excitement for Renovaré’s future and my own.

During this transition year I will continue to serve as president, working with the staff, board, and Ministry Team to continue our current work, discern our next president, and facilitate a smooth transition. After February 28, 2022, I look forward to being part of the Ministry Team, and contributing to Renovaré in whatever way is possible and wise.

How grateful I am for Renovaré! I will especially miss regular times of interaction with the staff and board. The friendships I’ve formed mean so much to me and I know they will continue for many years.

God has always been faithful to provide the right people at the right time for Renovaré. It’s been quite remarkable to watch. I’m confident it will be the same for the new president.

Will you join me in asking the Lord to guide us to the person who will lead Renovaré into its grace-filled future?

Blessings,

Chris Hall
Renovaré President

Over the last seven years, the ministry has grown under the leadership of current president Christopher A. Hall, 71, who requested the transition in order to spend more time with family.
